Their stories often unfold in emotionally attuned landscapes such as dreamlike space stations, joy-saturated simulations, and grieving AI systems, where silence speaks louder than words and technology remembers what we try to forget. With a voice grounded in intimacy and atmosphere, their work bridges literary science fiction, magical realism, and soft surrealism. They are drawn to the moments before change, the echoes after loss, and the emotional architecture of places that feel.
Some stories pause at the edge of connection, content to explore what it means to feel almost known. Jonny spends much of his time in this space, specifically because it makes you anxious.
Inspiration
The origin of these stories is often unclear, even to me. They don’t arrive fully formed or follow a conscious design. Instead, they emerge slowly, through texture, rhythm, a fragment of language, or the gravity of a feeling I can’t name yet. I don’t always know what a piece is about until well into the process of writing it. Much of my work begins not with ideas but with atmospheres, with questions I don’t have answers to, or with a silence that insists on being translated. If there is a source, it lives somewhere between memory and sensation, between pattern and pause, and I find it only by writing into the dark.
